In 2022 we relaunched taking into account a ton of feedback from users. Contractors are now vetted on their individual past projects, so we obtain a reference & confirmed images for each piece of work they’ve completed. We've listened to architects like you and made the platform so much more intuitive.  Finally, we’ve changed our business model so we don't charge contractors a success fee, but a monthly subscription for ready-to-go tenders.

For free, we can vet any contractor you want. For example if you come across one out in the field or you get a recommendation by your client. We will put your builder through the same stringent vetting method (you can read more on how we vet here) that we do for all Weaver contractors, and show up any red flags.

To get started on this, simply login and enter a project you'd like the contractor in question to potentially tender on, and you will see the request show up.

Having helped over 1,800 projects so far (most architect-led), we’ve learnt that getting your client 3 quotes from quality contractors is the magic number. One quote just doesn’t give you a price comparison. Too many though, and the best quality contractors drop out to avoid a messy bidding scenario.

Weaver is a platform that matches projects between £30k and £1.5m to main contractors mostly used by other architects. We verify each builder’s company information and call up their prior work references (you can read more on how we vet here) so you can be sure that they are the real deal.

Projects usually come to us with sufficiently detailed information that allows a contractor to price accurately. To get your client a good market price, we recommend that your documents include detailed technical drawings, a schedule of work and structural engineering calculations.
